Apple has recently embarked on its Mastered For iTunes initiative, and The Mastering Palace was contacted to join them in their initial stages.
The Mastering Palace can create and send masters that meet Apple's Mastered for iTunes specifications.
Mark began his mastering career in 2000 at Sony Music Studios, his credits over the years include The Weekend's "Trilogy", Neon Trees' "Habits", Neil Diamond's "Home Before Dark" & the original soundtrack to Fox's hit TV show "Empire".
Mark's passion for music & undaunted devotion to his clients is reflected in every album he masters. A vinyl aficionado with long term lathe experience, Mark cuts all of TMP's lacquers.
"Great sounding records by great artists in a very sexy, elegant & productive environment, accompanied by the level of service found at a five star hotel." That was my mantra when I built The Mastering Palace, & it continues to be the entire facility's mantra as we evolve & adapt to our clients' ever changing needs.
Kevin grew up on Long Island, NY, and has been in mastering since 2012. He has recently mastered projects by Camila Cabello (Havana), A$AP Ferg, Lali, Mary J Blige, NEEDTOBREATHE and C. Tangana. A guitarist & composer for most of his life, Kevin brings a musician's ear to his work.

Tatsuya “Tats” Sato, a Tokyo native, started his career as a recording/mixing engineer, ultimately having worked on classics like “Invincible” by Michael Jackson and “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” by Lauryn Hill. Tatsuya was Grammy-nominated for his work on Kanye West’s “The College Dropout” (2005).
Now mastering exclusively, he’s Grammy nominated for his work on Aleks Syntek’s “Syntek” (2014) and Tank and the Bangas' "Red Balloon" (2023). Other recent projects Tats has mastered include Nardo Wick’s “Who Is Nardo Wick?”, Juice WRLD’s “Legends Never Die”, “I Know Nigo” by A$AP Rocky, Tyler, the Creator & Nigo, and Hayley Kiyoko’s “Panorama".
A few years back, The Mastering Palace acquired a beautiful Neumann VMS 70 cutting lathe. While it was in impeccable physical shape, its internal electronics needed a complete overhaul. We spent more than one year of blood, sweat and tears (and even more tears $$$) replacing nearly every single capacitor and transistor in the audio path of this stunning art piece of German engineering. The end result is a Lathe that can cut a record Louder, Longer and Cleaner than when it was brand new!
